Using Multi-Physics Simulation to Estimate Energy Flexibility for Local Demand Response Strategies in a Microgrid

This work discusses the development of a multi-physics simulated model, in frame decarbonization and energy efficiency objectives European Commission. Its central feature is interconnection, through microgrid, distributed PV installation several electric dispatchable loads, thus powering Collective Self-Consumption network. The simulator presented within this document aims to serve as technological enabler for design testing On-Site DR strategies, which actuate directly on connection status before their deployment target, real-world systems. supports validation such strategies by generating realistic data certain loads that present monitoring difficulties, taking into account online, real external weather conditions. All elements described modeled current belong installation, university campus—ESTIA, Bidart, France— composed buildings with DER.
